BSTM Program Specifications
The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT program will equip students' competencies that are needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in tourism planning and product development, transportation services, travel and tour operations and events planning.
HISTORICAL SKETCH
The University of the Immaculate Conception, formerly known as Immaculate Conception College, offered BS in Tourism Management in 2014. UIC BSTM Program was given government recognition by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in S.Y. 2017-2018.
The curricula has been revised by the Commission on Higher Education by adding select courses as UIC is an Autonomous University and other general courses intended for K-12 graduates. UIC integrated professional courses that are beyond the minimum to achieve the outcomes of the students and to respond to internationalization efforts of UIC.

We commit ourselves to:
provide an excellent educational experience to students to help them become globally competitive and adaptive to change;

GOAL
The University of the Immaculate Conception is a Catholic School that is an instrumentality of the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary that aims to provide within its community of students and personnel Catholic values. Its goal is to provide an educational program and environment animated by Catholic doctrine, beliefs, teachings, traditions, and practices, the exercise of which is protected by, among others, Article III, Section 5 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.
In order for us to approximate our vision and live our mission, we dedicate all our human resources to transform the members of the UIC family to become enlightened, empowered, pro-active and liberated Christian leaders living in a humane and harmonious community for love of God, country, and the world.

Upon completion of the BSTM at UIC, students will be able to:
Formulate sound developmental programs for the community in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Perform effectively in various functions of tourism organizations and enterprises and;
Access and disseminate accurate and detailed product knowledge and destination information.
PROGRAM GRADUATE OUTCOMES
The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management aims to produce graduates who:
Access and disseminate accurate and detailed product knowledge and destination information.
Analyzes situation, identifies problems, formulate solutions and implements corrective and/ or mitigating measures and actions through case analysis and actual practices
Use a variety of technology and allocates resources to acquire and evaluate information
Perform effectively in various functions of tourism organizations and enterprises.
Formulate sound developmental programs for the community in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Undertake and produce research studies like business plan, Tourism Master Plan, feasibility study and marketing plan to contribute to the development of hospitality and tourism industry
Show awareness and responsiveness on relevant and emerging trends and issues in hospitality and tourism industry
Exhibit sense of nationalism by preserving the Filipino culture, traditions, and values in response to the signs of the times
Exhibit sense of consciousness for ethics in the delivery of tourism services
Demonstrate the ability to use professional written and oral communication skills.
