In 2017, the BSHRM was called BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (BSHRIM). UIC BSHRM/BSHRIM Program was given government recognition by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in 2010-2011.

The BSHRM/BSHRIM was granted Level 1 accreditation by The Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) on April 27, 2017.

The curricula has been revised by the Commission on Higher Education by adding select courses as UIC is an Autonomous University and other general courses intended for K-12 graduates. UIC integrated professional courses that are beyond the minimum to achieve the outcomes of the students and to respond to internationalization efforts of UIC.
